Country Engagement Photos in Michigan | Savannah + Colby

Savannah and Colby are one of my 2026 wedding couples and I could not love them more. Photographing their engagement session felt like spending the evening with friends. We had originally planned to shoot at the Ford House, but last minute they decided they wanted something that felt much more personal and true to their life together.

So we took their engagement pictures right at home on their family’s country property, surrounded by all the things they love most.

The sunset showed off for us that night, giving us the prettiest golden hour glow across the open fields. We included their favorite things in the photos, like their truck, and the sweetest animals on the property. Yes, that means dogs, swans, deer, and cows making appearances throughout their session. It was magic.

I absolutely adore when couples choose locations that are part of their real story. This session was relaxed, meaningful, and full of laughter. I cannot wait for their 2026 wedding day, because I already know it is going to be incredible.
